Biography
With over 18 years of architectural experience, Mr. Pasion has been involved in a multitude of different building types ranging from aviation, commercial, industrial, retail, forensic and educational in the public and private sectors. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from U. C. Berkeley in 1996.
Since the age of 21, Mr. Pasion gained experience designing hospital plans for a prominent architecture firm in Sacramento. Upon graduating architecture school, Mr. Pasion continued his interest in hospital architecture at the prestigious Stanford University Medical Center where he designed and prepared construction documents for public spaces and the expansion of the hospital campus.
Mr. Pasion has placed an emphasis on office and commercial developments including architectural design, construction documents, site analysis, building code review and permit approval. As Project Manager he has managed architectural teams, prepared bid documents, wrote construction specifications and administered construction projects. Mr. Pasion has an extensive background in designing structures that meet the building code requirements for life safety and ADA compliance.
Mr. Pasion’s background entails the co-design of many K-12 schools throughout Northern California including Sacramento, Roseville, and Brentwood, California. From 2003 thru 2008 he designed, secured DSA approval and performed construction administration on many schools in this region. He has collaborated with other designers in value-engineering, building code review, & quality control of the $1.3 billion Sacramento International Airport (SMF), Sacramento County’s largest capital improvement program. He also partook in the “design renaissance” of the McClellan Air Force Base into the current McClellan Business Park located in Sacramento.
With a background as a Forensic Architect, Mr. Pasion has had the unique experience of evaluating buildings after it’s been permitted and built. Forensic architecture is the practice of determining the cause of building failure. As a building expert, Mr. Pasion has evaluated the building construction of large, high-end condominiums and large scale buildings throughout California and provided critical evaluations used in construction litigation.
